Fall 2009

Okay, it's been about 7 months since my last post, I know. But we've been REALLY busy!

It's been great being back home and Owen is getting bigger and bigger every day. Moving was hectic, but we all made it in one piece, including Buddy.

Owen is learning lots of new things and is walking like crazy. And, he has the appetite of his dad -- he could sit in his high chair and eat all day long.
His favorite words are: dog, go, gamma (for Grandma), and muuuuhhhh (for Bud).
His favorite foods are: any fruits and vegetables, especially watermelon and peas and carrots.

Here are a few of the latest and greatest pics - and, I give credit to Laura for most of them since I don't have time to download ours from the camera. Thanks Laura!

Here's mowin' Owen. He LOVES his Grampy's tractor so much. He even has fun watching Daddy or Grampy ride on it!


Here's the cutest family shot EVER of Dan, Laura, and Brady. What a beautiful family.

Here's Owen and Mommy playing at Grandma's house.

This was taken at the Toledo Zoo. I can't tell you how many pictures there are of Dan (brother) and me with our Grandma and Aunts on these animals when we were little. We just had to re-create the moment.

Here's our family shot at the pumpkin farm/green house. It was crazy humid in the greenhouse, but we always try to find time for a family picture.

We (Grandma, Aunt Karen, Mommy, Daddy, and Owen) went to the Detroit Tigers game in September. We had a ball - and, they won!

Spring has Sprung

Spring is finally here and we are trying to enjoy every minute of it. This past month, Owen has grown so much! He does so many new things that we are proud of -- he's clapping his hands, army crawling, starting to pull up, and we've been practicing "so big!" a lot, too. It's amazing how much he can learn in such a short amount of time. We've had some beautiful weather weekends, which is great for him b/c he LOVES to take his socks off. I've included some of our favorite pics from the past month, but the link to SnapFish is down below if you want to look at the rest of the 200 or so that we've taken.

Owen had a blast when we spent a weekend in Raleigh to see all of his aunts, uncles, and cousins. Here, he was playing with his older cousin, Michael, and wanted to give him a big kiss!

Here's Owen at the park on one of the first warm weather days. His hat is from his neighbor friend, Caroline. So sweet that she wants to protect his eyes from the bright sun.

Growin' Owen

Most of you have seen these pics -- these happen to be our favorites of the month.

Dan wants Owen to follow in his footsteps of being #3. So, we created him his bath-time jersey. Cute, huh?

Here's Owen on his Valentine's date with Caroline. She dressed for the occasion. He was dressed for combat in his camouflage.

This turned out to be a fun game! Owen had a blast "driving" around in the basket.

We finally broke down ...

Our friend Mindy would be mildly happy. She'd rather see us on Facebook, but this'll have to do. I just don't know how people have time for all that!

I wanted to set this up so that everyone could check in on us - namely, Owen - every once in a while without an invitation to snapfish. Plus, you won't have to sift through hundreds of pictures each month (though February wasn't too bad!).

It's a beautiful Sunday here today - about 74 degrees and sunny. We went to the park and must've wore everyone out. All my boys are sleeping - literally. Dan and Owen are up in bed, and Buddy is on the stairs in front of me. We just sprung forward and we're hoping the nice weather is here to stay!

I'll get some pics and video up and keep everyone posted on Owen's progress.
